Why we chose STEPS?

People and environment - From our inquiry on their Facebook page to the day we visited the center for ocular, they’re all professional and pleasant. In STEPS, there is a safe and positive environment. We also feel that their values align with ours. And because Alonso will be having therapies almost everyday, we chose a center that we are most comfortable and compatible with. A place that can provide a positive learning environment that would benefit our child.

Teachers - Teachers play an important role in Alonso’s journey. STEPS has a number of qualified and dedicated teachers. Teacher Giana (OT) and Teacher Aica (SLP)are blessings to us. ASD can be overwhelming but they constantly provide great support not only to our son but for the whole family as well. They set goals for Alonso and make sure to work on it every session. We learn many things from them through session feedbacks and advices. There’s a lot of improvement in Alonso since he started therapy with them. Not only they are competent but they are also passionate in what they do and have genuine concern for students. Other teachers (those that do not handle Alonso) are also very friendly, kind and supportive.

Overall, we are happy we chose STEPS.

Why we chose STEPS?

Milestones since he started with the therapy here:

* When you call him he responds.
* Yes to eye contact
* Nauutusan na rin. he can follow simple instructions
* He can sit still up for like certain number of minutes

I've been hearing a lot of stories ... yung case ng anak nila prior years before pinasok dito sa STEPS talagang ang laki ng changes. Malaki na ang naging development, yung progress dun sa bata. So, ako din I am expecting din na siguro on time mararating din natin yun.

I barely notice it na we will be celebrating our first anniversary with steps na super bilis parang within a year ang laki nadin ng changes dun sa anak ko actually.

As a parent ng child with special needs, kailangan malakas ang loob mo. This is a lifetime commitment. And you have to be a hundred percent lagi.

Why we chose STEPS?

They are very accommodating in terms of scheduling ... They accommodate Snowy's schedule and for that one we decided Snowy to transfer to STEPS.

Right now there's a huge significant milestone na na-obeserve namin kay Snow. Her behavioural skills, her communication sobrang laki po ng progress ni Snowy. Nawitness namin yan up until now. I am very proud na sobrang ganda ng naging development ni Snowy nung nagstart siya mag-schooling sessions dito kay STEPS. I am very thankful to STEPS na beacuse of them naachieved ni Snowy yan.

I would like to commend all the teachers, especially, this institutions for being such a great competent, for being a dedicated and hardworing professionals. For this one, naramdaman namin na family kaming itinuturing ni STEPS.
